Family Liaisons
Each School Liaison serves as a case manager for students who require intensive behavioral and social support. This role includes coordinating and facilitating student support team meetings, guiding the implementation of intervention strategies, and monitoring student progress. The liaison conducts student assessments, develops individualized behavior support plans, and collects outcome data to evaluate the effectiveness of interventions.
The position requires ongoing collaboration and communication with teachers, student services staff, and school administration to support student success and increase students’ ability to participate in instruction.
The School Liaison also works closely with families through regular communication, home visits, and assistance connecting them to community resources. In addition, the liaison partners with community agencies such as human services and mental health providers, coordinates services across systems, supports student transitions between programs or agencies, addresses attendance concerns, and advocates for students and families to ensure they have access to appropriate supports both in school and within the community.
