Families with students who are not eligible for bus transportation or require transportation to/from an alternate address, will need to submit a request to enter a contract for paid transportation costs. The provision of transportation under Sec. 121.545 Wis. Stats., is subject to the following criteria:
- The student is to be transported to a school in his/her specific attendance area.
- There is space available on an existing route. Students who may move into the district and who are required to be transported will have priority, which may result in the loss of the contracted service.
- Bus routes will not be established or changed to accommodate contracts made under this section. A contracted student may have to walk to a pick-up point designated by the district.
- Available space will be assigned first-come, first served, based on the date on which the district received the required payment.
With the understanding of the above, this request will be reviewed and if approved, a contract will be required and entered into by and between the West Bend School District.
The Transportation Contract Fees for the 2025 -2026 School Year are on the request form. More details on fees:
- Fees are only applicable if it is determined your student is not eligible for busing.
- Transportation Fees are not eligible for any free or reduced fee waivers.
- If your family has unpaid transportation fees from previous years, your student(s) will not be eligible for a current year contract until past due balances are paid in full.
Please complete an Alternate Transportation Request Form if interested in a contract for busing.
