District and School Performance

As part of the State of Wisconsin accountability system, the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction (DPI) produces Accountability Report Cards for allschool districts and individual schools in the state each year. The report cards include data on multiple indicators.
The accountability ratings are generated by taking historical data and demographic information related to Priority Weight Areas. Because the enrollment of students in each school is unique, the state places different weights on the Priority Weight Areas when calculating each individual school's rating. Therefore, every school district and every individual school has certain factors taken into account for their rating. Additionally, weights are determined by calculating three years of data into the equation.
