Open Enrollment

What is open enrollment?

Open Enrollment is a State of Wisconsin program that allows families to apply for their children to attend school in a district other than the one in which they reside, known as the resident district. Any Wisconsin resident in 4K to grade 12 may apply to attend a nonresident school district under the Open Enrollment program.

Interested in open enrolling your student?

Parents must submit an application to the nonresident school district during the Open Enrollment Application period for the following school year. The Wisconsin Open Enrollment Application period for the 2026-27 school year opened February 2, 2026 and ended at 4 p.m. on April 30, 2026. By state law, school districts are prohibited from accepting early or late applications.
