Open Enrollment
There’s never been a better time to join the West Bend School District! With exciting facilities changes ahead, we’re building upon our reputation for more opportunities for students than other area schools. There is something for everyone at the West Bend School District.
The West Bend School District is proud to serve about 5,000 students and their families. We strive to ensure that every student is given the opportunity to reach their potential through academics, the arts, athletics, and co-curricular activities within our community-based 4K program, Head Start program, and nine schools.

Open Enrollment is a State of Wisconsin program that allows families to apply for their children to attend school in a district other than the one in which they reside, known as the resident district. Any Wisconsin resident in 4K to grade 12 may apply to attend a nonresident school district under the Open Enrollment program.
Parents must submit an application to the nonresident school district during the Open Enrollment Application period for the following school year. The Wisconsin Open Enrollment Application period for the 2026-27 school year begins February 2, 2026 and ends at 4 p.m. on April 30, 2026. By state law, school districts are prohibited from accepting early or late applications.
More information is available on the open enrollment brochure (also available in Spanish and Hmong) and the Wisconsin DPI Resource page.
