Welcome to the West Bend School District

Located in Southeastern Wisconsin, about 40 miles north of Milwaukee, the West Bend School District is a public school district serving approximately 5,000 students from early childhood through 12th grade. The attendance area includes the city of West Bend, villages of Jackson and Newburg, and townships of Barton, Polk, Trenton, Jackson, West Bend and Addison. The West Bend Schools are happy to serve students from outside the attendance area through the Wisconsin Parental Choice program.

For our staff, our work with students is a calling, with the goal of a transformational experience for all. The West Bend School District has the most dedicated, caring and passionate staff members, who continue to create rigorous and relevant opportunities for our students, strongly supported by positive and caring relationships. We want the best for our students.

Every school district thinks its schools are great; at least they should. But what makes a school, and a school district, truly great?

At the West Bend Joint School District #1, we believe it’s establishing within all families the knowledge that their child—throughout their years within this school district—will experience a learning environment that supports the development of the whole child.

We strive to provide opportunities for all students to explore their interests and talents through a wide variety of academic programs, visual and performing arts, athletics, and co-curriculars and clubs.

For the West Bend Joint School District #1, making our schools great is more than a mission or a vision—rather, it is an ironclad commitment.
